Sky Construction Company was incorporated in 1994. The company is a product of builders and engineers with over 20 years of construction experience.

In the years that Sky has been in existence it has earned the respect of Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad, for reliability, superior quality and high integrity, and has fast become one of the largest indigenous construction companies in Sierra Leone.

Despite the long period of instability in the 1990s, resulting from the civil war and general political unrest, the company has grown from strength to strength. The company now boasts an impressive technical team with full on-site professional support services to provide for all our client needs.


Our Team

Emeric Bernard Jones is Managing Director of the company. Emeric is a British qualified Building and Civil Engineer with over 30 years experience in the building and construction trade. His employment history includes many years as Premises Manager for Barclays Bank (SL), responsible for the bank’s property maintenance, valuation and general premises upkeep and support. Other roles include significant periods of service as Deputy Estate Officer, Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, and General Manager Sierra Leone Cement Factory.

Our Technical Team is led by Quasi Bernard-Jones, Technical Director. Quasi is a British qualified Building and Civil Engineer specialising in quantity surveying. He has over 20 years experience in all aspects of estimating, costing and overseeing building projects in both the commercial and residential sectors. His employment history includes over six years service as Quantity Surveyor with Beacon Construction Co, and 3 years service as Site Agent with the Sierra Leone Construction Co.

Other members of the technical team include Sahr M’bayo, Director of Sky Construction. Sahr is a British trained engineer with extensive experience in major road and construction projects. He has project managed a number of internationally funded projects (for example World Bank, CARE funded projects) and brings this specialism to the commercial projects undertaken at Sky Construction.

This technical management team is supported by other qualified civil engineers, building and quantity surveyors, draughtsmen, experienced site supervisors and project managers.

In addition, SKy also boasts of comprehensive fully equipped on site carpentry, masonary and metal workshops manned by trained carpenters, metal and wood work staff.

Our Professional Services Team is led by Irene Thompson FCCA, the Financial Controller. Mrs Thompson is a British qualified accountant with over 20 years post qualification experience both locally and in the UK.

Our client support staff include a dedicated customer service section and a team responsible for financial reporting, and project administration.
